How Do I Post Photos to Blogs?

Imagine you have a blog, limited web space, and a lot of photos that you would like to share with your friends. What do you do? You need to find a service allowing storing images, and offering enough disk space for that. Another condition is the web service must be fast not slowing down the downloading speed of your main blog.

SideBlog is a very helpful tool that makes it simple to upload, modify and manage your photos that maybe later posted to blog, forum or website. So, what can you do in SideBlog? What makes it so handy?

In the regular situation, you would need an FTP access to some server, an FTP client to upload image. Moreover, think what if you would need to resize your photos, or maybe rotate or crop to fit the blog proportions. Then you would also need a desktop photo editor to edit your photos. SideBlog allows you to not only store your images, but also edit them in your browser.

To start using SideBlog you need to register. On the index page, click on the "Register" link, which is located in the green box to the top.To sign up, you need almost nothing: just general information usually required during registration: login, password and email, this is all you need to start enjoying SideBlog.

Once you sign in the system, you will get to the Default folder of your user account area. Before posting your photos, you need to setup properties required for posing photos to blog.

To add a new blog properties click on the "Add New Blog" button. In the "Post images to blog" dialog specify the type, label, API URL, your blog's username, and password. Click on the "Submit" button.

To start uploading your photos, click on the "Upload Photos" menu item. In the opened dialog, click on the "Browse" button to locate a photo the local drive. You are able to add 10 photos at the same time. By default, you are able to add three photos, as there are three fields available, however, you can add more fields for browsing for photos on the local disk if you click on the "Add another file" link below the field list.

After you have located the photos, click on the "Upload" button, and your photos will be uploaded to SideBlog. Now to post your photos to blog you need to select photos that you would like to blog. SideBlog allows single and multiple photo posting.

You can post a photo using any of the following options. Firstly, you can click on the photo thumbnail and then click on the "Blog me" tool to the left. Secondly, while in the Default or any other album folder click on the "Select photo" link below the photo thumbnail, then on the "Blog me" button in the top submenu.

If you want to post many photos at the same time, click on either the "Select photo" link below each photo thumbnail or, if you want to post all photos, the "Select All" button, then click on the "Blog me" button in the top submenu.

After, in the "Post image to the blog" dialog, you can add Subject and the Text, if it is necessary, then click on the "Blog it" icon. Open your blog and you should all your selected images posted to your blog.
